Many restaurants have limited hours, especially in the winter, so check before you go, particularly on Mondays and Tuesday. Places that are open 7 days a week or only on weekends are noted.
Places to eat – walking distance
Rosie’s – Coffee, breakfast, baked goods, sandwiches, and some provisions; excellent bread and cookies; only breakfast menu available all day on Tuesdays
Half Moon – Coffee, donuts, babka, and other baked goods
Tortilla Taco Bar – Delicious tacos, burritos, and tortas – and a nice Mezcal selection; open 7 days
Golden Ginza – Sushi and Japanese hibachi, with good lunch specials
Dolce – Crepes and croissants; breakfast and lunch, only open Thursday – Sunday
Armadillo – More upscale Mexican option with a nice outdoor patio; half price tacos on Wednesday and half-price frozen margs on Thursday
Savona’s – Italian, neighborhood classic; pizza and pasta, cocktails on draft; serving lunch and dinner, and brunch on the weekends; open 7 days
Graziano’s Downtown Eatery – Quirky Italian restaurant with homemade pasta
Mariner’s Harbor – Seafood restaurant on the water; ice cream stand and outdoor bar in the summer
Old Savannah – Southern waterfront dining with a beautiful deck and sports bar vibes inside
Ship to Shore – Upscale American bistro; Monday night is burger night: $25 for a burger and 3 beers, if you can handle it (ask your server)
Secret Vegan Café – Coffee and vegan breakfast options
Hutton Brick Yards – Upscale dining at a boutique hotel on the water, further up Strand Street, so not walkable
Places to eat – Midtown very short drive or a longer walk
Broadway Lights Diner – Classic diner with everything you need
Calcutta Kitchen – Indian market with lunch specials
Kingston Standard – Brewery with pizza, oysters, and lobster rolls
Masa – Turkish food, open Thursday – Saturday
Monkey Joe Roasting Company – Freshly brewed coffee, espresso bar, pastries, and biscotti
Sonder – Wine bar with small plates
Stone Soup – Soups, paninis, sandwiches, and wraps to grab for lunch or dinner
Village Grocery – Small organic grocery story with coffee, pastries, and lunch
Village Coffee and Goods – Sister store to the other Village with similar options
Taqueria Mi Pueblito – Classic Mexican fare
Pupuseria Mi Ranchito – Pupusas and Salvadoran food with a bar room atmosphere

There are lots of places to eat uptown. This is just a list of our favorites—a small sampling of what Uptown has to offer.
Kingston Bread Co – Bakery with sandwiches
Lola – Italian restaurant with brick oven pizza
Picnic Pizza – Italian restaurant with brick oven pizza
Rough Draft – Bookstore and cafe with beer and wine.
Yum Yum Noodle Bar – Fusion Asian with curries, ramen, banh mi, and noodle dishes
