ABOUT THIS EVENT:

Welcome! We have held over 100 Death Cafés in the Hudson Valley in person and, since March 2020, on Zoom on the 18th of each month. People from all over the country–and sometimes the world!–have joined our free virtual Death Cafés, with folks logging in to connect with each other and share their ideas and concerns about dying and death. By providing an online safe space for dialoguing and sharing, CFD Death Café keeps the conversation going. Join our community, and let’s hang out and talk about dying and death!

At Death Cafés, the aim is to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their finite lives. Death Cafés are open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems. A Death Café is a group-directed conversation about death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

Find out more about this worldwide movement at DeathCafe.com.

Plan to settle in with your coffee or tea in front of your computer for our CFD Death Café via Zoom on Thursday, July 18 at 7–8:30 pm.

We’re looking forward to seeing you—and bring any interested friends!
