- To travel by bus
Trailways has routes throughout the state and beyond. The closest station is at 400 Washington Avenue in the Stockade District in uptown Kingston.

The local Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) makes six daily runs around the city from the Kingston Plaza near the Trailways station (within walking distance), beginning at 6:35 a.m. and ending at 4:35 p.m. From the Plaza, take a Blue Route bus to stop #217 in the Rondout at the intersection of Wurts and Abeel Streets. Circle Home is a short walk to 100 Wurts Street.

- To travel by train
Amtrak runs up and down the Hudson River from New York City to Albany and beyond. The local Amtrak station is located in Dutchess County at 455 Rhinecliff Road in the village of Rhinecliff.

The nearest airports are Albany International on Albany Shaker Road and New York Stewart International in New Windsor.
- If you’re traveling by car
From the New York State Thruway (I-87), take Exit 19 to Kingston and follow GPS or your map to 100 Wurts Street.
- Parking
Free parking is available on the streets and at two church parking lots nearby. Unlimited parking is available at the parking lot of the Lutheran Redeemer Church at McEntee Street and Wurts Street. For those who need to limit walking, parking is permitted in St. Peter’s Church parking lot adjacent to Jim & Lisa’s Circle Home.

Many restaurants have limited hours, especially in the winter, so check before you go, particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays. Places that are open 7 days a week or only on weekends are noted.

Rosie’s – Coffee, breakfast, baked goods, sandwiches, and some provisions; excellent bread and cookies; only breakfast menu available all day on Tuesdays
Half Moon – Coffee, donuts, babka, and other baked goods
Tortilla Taco Bar – Delicious tacos, burritos, and tortas – and a nice Mezcal selection; open 7 days
Golden Ginza – Sushi and Japanese hibachi, with good lunch specials
Dolce – Crepes and croissants; breakfast and lunch, only open Thursday – Sunday
Armadillo – More upscale Mexican option with a nice outdoor patio; half price tacos on Wednesday and half-price frozen margs on Thursday
Savona’s – Italian, neighborhood classic; pizza and pasta, cocktails on draft; serving lunch and dinner, and brunch on the weekends; open 7 days
Graziano’s Downtown Eatery – Quirky Italian restaurant with homemade pasta
Mariner’s Harbor – Seafood restaurant on the water; ice cream stand and outdoor bar in the summer
Old Savannah – Southern waterfront dining with a beautiful deck and sports bar vibes inside
Ship to Shore – Upscale American bistro; Monday night is burger night: $25 for a burger and 3 beers, if you can handle it (ask your server)
Secret Vegan Café – Coffee and vegan breakfast options
Hutton Brick Yards – Upscale dining at a boutique hotel on the water, further up Strand Street, so not walkable
