The REST Program with Judith Bromley

April 9, 2024  3:00-4:30pm at Circle Home (100 Wurts St, Kingston)

The mission of the REST Program is to restore dignity to elders who are isolated in the community and reconnect them with meaningful relationships that honor their stories and the richness of their lives.

The REST Program trains select volunteers to be companions and then matches companions to mutually suitable seniors. Companions are supported throughout their journey by the REST Program Coordinator.
In addition, the REST Program will partner with any community based organization or congregation already doing this work that is interested in additional free training and support for their volunteers.

NEW OPTION #1:
Be trained as a Volunteer facilitator or presenter at a weekly event at the HUB for seniors who are care recipients in the program. We envision creating a warm and welcoming space where people can share their talents and their stories with our care recipient seniors.

NEW OPTION #2:
Be trained as a volunteer interpreter to assist caregivers in clarifying discharge instructions and to schedule follow-up medical appointments.

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. If interested in attending, please register by clicking here.
